Prado Museum decides that El Coloso is not by Goya It's now thought the work is by one of Francisco de Goya's students The Prado Museum has finally concluded that the dramatic painting ‘The Giant – El Coloso’ hanging on its walls is not the work of Francisco de Goya as had previously been thought. The museum has now published the results of its research into the painting, and report on the poor technique in the light and colour, and also how the painting has been framed makes it different from most Goyas.
